Panasonic sells its plants producing semiconductor products

Panasonic will continue to restructure its business. In early autumn, the manufacturer announced his intention to withdraw from the market of consumer smartphones. Now resource Bloomberg reported that the company plans to sell as many as eight of its factories for the production of semiconductor products . About three of them located in Japan , the manufacturer is already in talks with Israel's Tower Semiconductor.

At the moment, negotiations are still ongoing , and the amount of the transaction is supposed to exceed $ 100 million. Most of the 2,500 workers of these companies will go to work for the new owner , while the remaining will be reallocated to other factories Panasonic.
