As it turned out, the idea of a laptop with a screen on the outer and inner sides of the lid has fallen to their liking, not only from ASUS, but little-known company SeedTronic, whose offices are located in Brazil and Hong Kong. Product SeedTronic, which obviously will compete with ASUS TAICHI, was named Seedbook.
At the heart of Seedbook - the same concept as in the ASUS TAICHI: internal screen - normal, not sensitive to pressure, while the outer panel - touch, with support for multitouch. Unfortunately, details about the hardware is practically no Seedbook: reported only that it is equipped with a processor, Ivy Bridge, and from the interface connector contains an RJ-45, D-Sub, HDMI, and four-port USB.
SeedTronic Seedbook is far from the stage of commercial product: the developers promise that by the time the assembly-line production of the laptop will be thinner and lighter. However, while it is unclear when a competitor TAICHI appear on store shelves (and will at all?), And at what price will be offered.
