Sony has introduced a photo frame that supports Full HD video

Sony has introduced three new digital photo frame series of S-Frame, allowing play back video with resolution up to Full HD (1920 × 1080 pixels), - DPF-HD1000, DPF-HD800 and DPF-HD700. Frames are equipped with screens 10, 8 and 7 inches respectively.

When you record images in internal memory, which amounts to 2 GB, pictures are automatically scaled to the size of the display in order to save some memory. The device supports video formats AVCHD, MPEG-4, MPEG-1, Motion JPEG. When playing a slide show can be used by custom audio files MP3, AAC, LPCM.

As external data sources can be used by the flash card MS Duo / SD / SDHC / SDXC, as well as drives that connect via USB.

Note that despite the copious use of acronyms by HD in the press release and promotional materials, display resolution photo frames are not: the 10-inch model, it is 1024 × 600 pixels, the other two - 800 × 480 pixels.
