Acer has shown at Computex 2011 smartphone running Windows Phone 7

A landmark event took place at the recently concluded Computex Taipei 2011: Acer has demonstrated to her its first smartphone running Windows Phone 7.1 Mango. Novelty designation W4.

The device is based on a single-chip single-core platform Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8255 - exactly the same used in smartphones HTC Incredible S, Desire S, Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc, Xperia Neo and some other mobile devices. Whereas not the most outstanding characteristics can be assumed that the price of Acer W4 will be significantly lower than the price of flagship smartphones running WP7.
