Acer, not content with a single announcement, has revealed several new Aspire notebooks today.
First up from the lap-top-dog is the Aspire AS8943G, which Acer is touting as a powerful multimedia machine.
It features an 18.4-inch CineCrystal LED back-lit display with HD 1080 pixel resolution and 16:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by an Intel Core i7 processor with Turbo Boost and comes with 4GB or 8GB or RAM, with support for an upgrade to 16GB.
It also features a 500GB SATA hard drive and an ATI Mobility Radeo HD5850 Graphics with 1GB of dedicated memory. The graphics card also supports DirectX 11, allowing the latest and greatest in graphics goodness.
It is expected to retail at $1,549.99.
The Aspire AS5745 and AS7745 are Acer's new "cinema" models, advertised for their HD and Blu-ray capabilities.
The former features a 15.6-inch HD widescreen display with a resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels, while the latter features a 17.3-inch HD widescreen display with a resolution of 1,600 x 900 pixels.
Both feature an Intel Core i7 processor with Turbo Boost, but both series have models running Intel Core i3 and i5 processors, for those with a lower budget or less need for resource intensiveness. The AS5745G houses an NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M graphics card and the AS7745G sports an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 graphics card.
Both feature 500GB of hard drive space, with expansion possible up to 1TB.
Prices for these series start at $699.99, with the AS7745G going for $1,399.
Acer is also offering a new line of powerful entry-level Aspire notebooks with a wide range of options, including Intel i3 or i5 processors, or AMD Phenom II, Athlon II, Turion II, or V Series processors.
The new models will feature 15.6-inch or 17.3-inch displays. They will also feature 4GB of DDR3 RAM.
Prices will range from $429.99 to $899.99.
