Hynix memory chips provided a 4 Gbit densities, for the MID

Company Hynix Semiconductor announced the availability of chips memory type DDR SDRAM 4-Gbit densities, designed for mobile devices. New platform support for Intel Moorestown, which is the foundation for mobile devices with Internet connectivity (MID). The serial production should start in the current quarter.

The memory can work at speeds up to 400 Mbit / s, which corresponds to the capacity of 1.6 GB / s in the case of a 32-bit bus. It is consistent with the requirements of JEDEC. The new memory will find application in next-generation applications: MID, notebook and smartphones, which require a large amount of fast memory with low power consumption.

Chips Hynix 4-Gbit densities will be issued in the form of products that combine several of crystals in one case (MCP), and in the buildings of type package-on-package (POP).
