MCE released a Blu-ray drives for Mac Pro and PowerMac

Company MCE start selling 8-speed drives Multi Blu-ray, to be installed at workstations Apple.

Using Mac OS X 10.5.2 (or newer version) and a package of Toast Titanium 10, it can burn discs on BD-R video in HD-authorization for subsequent viewing on domestic players. Drives are installed in the Mac Pro and PowerMac. For the last generation Mac Pro is a special version. The external version of the product supports both USB 2.0, and eSATA.

The device records the discs at such a speed: BD-R - 8x, BD-RE - 2x, DVD + R and DVD-R - 16x, DVD + RW - 8x, DVD-RW - 6x, DVD-RAM - 5x, CD-R - 32x, CD-RW - 24x. Record double-layer DVD and BD-R is carried out at a speed of 8x, BD-RE - 2x. The set of all versions of drive packages include Toast Titanium 10 and Adobe Premier Pro CS4 Encore, software for playing Blu-ray working in Boot Camp, as well as single disc BD-RE 25 GB.

Cost model for the PowerMac / Mac Pro - $ 449 for the Mac Pro 2009 - $ 429, the external version - $ 529.
